Paul J. Malcomb is an Intelligence Advisor at Nisos and brings over 15 years experience in cyber security and crisis management at Fortune 500, Federal, State & Local Government as well as early-stage companies.

Prior to joining Nisos, he was the sole Incident Commander for United Airlines, handling the worst incident response, insider threat, vulnerability-borne, 3rd party security situations as well as designed and led enterprise scale table top exercises (TTXs). Previously he was on General Electric’s Cyber Crisis Management Team where he was responsible for handling the worst cyber situations across multiple business units – managing those from escalation until closure, as well as handling all post-incident analysis.

Mr. Malcomb has led engagements across multiple SME spaces within the cybersecurity arena to include Cyber Threat Intelligence (CTI), Incident Response (IR), 3rd Party Security, Insider Threat, Vulnerability Management, Red/Purple Team Operations, DLP, Cloud Security & the associated architecture, Governance, Risk & Compliance (GRC), Custom Content Detection Development etc. 

Prior to stepping into the cyber arena, Mr. Malcomb built and delivered over 50 enterprise services spanning 60+ unique Agencies, served as the right-hand man to a Chief Operating Officer, multiple General Officers, and solved time sensitive and complex logistical or operational nightmares across 20 different time-zones.

He spent time doing cascading effects analysis, models-based systems engineering, and vulnerability assessments for critical infrastructure and key resources as well as critical foreign dependencies, being responsible for drafting national level communications that provide a common operating picture of ongoing catastrophes as well as coordinating the associated response and recovery resources.

Mr. Malcomb has a Masters of Business Administration from Virginia Commonwealth University with a focus on decision analytics and international considerations and is certified and experienced in Enterprise-level ITIL Service Strategy, Design, Transition, and Operations best practices and has lead multiple Fortune 100 companies through some of the most notable cyber events of the last decade.
